To start the year off we created sketchbooks using ink, texture, and text stickers. We then took what we learned to create a collage with handmade stickers. This year we will be exploring reasons to create art. This month we are focusing on telling others what is important to us and creating art with a message.
In September we learned about artist Jackson Pollock, who was famous for his splatter paintings. We had fun making our own splatter paintings to decorate our portfolio covers!
During the month of October, students have been working on contour line drawing, shading, and adding symbolism to their work. Below are some examples of finished Sign Language Drawings.
